I really can't be more happy to be in C2C Team 10 :D It's really fate that brought us together. All of us came from different backgrounds and places and we are now a team. Till now, there were only a few meetings but I feel so attached to the team already. I'm learning a lot from everyone, things I can never learn elsewhere. I bet we'll have more fun and madness coming up (: CAMBODIAAAAAAA. WAIT FOR US!

For me, it's a different feeling compared to the initial Sri-lanka Post-Tsunami Expedition. Back then, we all came together with the same purpose in mind - that is to provide relieve to the victims, and team mates are basically working adults and just few graduates. That trip served me well before I embarked on my working career. This time around, it's more of service learning as well as working with young team mates. A new learning perspective altogether and hope to seek great team bonding !
A last thing worth mentioning is, initially I was not successful in my interview due to my night classes. But it was after a 2nd attempt, that I managed to convince Bee ngoh and Selene! Well, if not,i would not be here writting now. =)

Dear C2C10,
How are you? I am fine. Hope to see you soon! :DD
Yours sincerely,

it's almost there now. time for preparation (since we started out on this journey together) has already been halved. seems like a lot more things to do. i hope things unfold more clearly as we tread along.
part of the preparation i made, is to read up on cambodia's history and various tourism guides. it's preparing ourselves mentally. and i think it will help me settle in sooner, and thus I'll be of greater use sooner. without a good grasp of the situation, it's likely that we make a less impactful or neutral (read: not useful) move.
the more i read, the keener i am to talk to cambodians, because i feel like i want to know about their misfortune that was only less than 20 years ago. reading helps to fill up the knowledge that sometimes the cambodians themselves are less keen to share.
at this point of time, i have been regularly reviewing the working processes of the team, to filter out areas that i can learn from or have not known before. but when i look at what it'll be like in Cambodia, it seems so much less clear. i am much less certain of what to expect and learn from there. i shall try my best to be open minded and to flexibly make use of my skills!

Life in the community is totally different from that in the school. I think I have much much things to learn in this trip.
I am angry with the immoral doctor at the west Point Hospital who wasted my time and money >< >< ><

hello. This is my first experience working with adults and I think that it is a very a good chance for me to learn from their experiences. From the project thus far, i have learned more about service learning and the different aspects of it.

hello (: i like the cosy feeling c2c10 has. sorry for not being around much yet, looking forward to post-exams (: we will only have one another on the foreign land! lets jiayou and may this be a successful proj to all of us! (:

This is the first time I got into a service learning trip. My past overseas exchange has been a very different experience from what I am embarking on now. I don't have to do sell t-shirt, raise fund..but I have to say, it is fun and enriching.
I have been missing for meetings due to other commitments, but I am glad that we have leaders and team members who are very understanding. Instead of grumbling why people are not able to turn up, they try to complement and cover each other in the work. I am very appreciative of that.

So far, i'm really happy that i've joined C2C10 because i met a bunch of really great people.I love the games and sharing sessions we had and i think i've still a lot to learn from all the members. I'm looking forward to the expedition and hope that i would mature through this journey!

Though i have yet to meet the team in person, i am really looking forward to working with the team when i return and of course the actual trip in december. The past few weeks have been really challenging for me as i tried to keep up with schoolwork, exams, work and the various tasks and responsibilities for this project. Nevertheless, i enjoyed myself terribly and i think it was a real good experience! Yea and i guess i must really thank the SCHOLAR team! for keeping me updated with things happening in the team, discussing and sharing ideas with me online, putting up with some of my nonsensical emails... yea, i actually think we did quite a good job so far :))
As we approach the day of our departure, I hope everyone put in more effort during this last burst and yea, CONTINUE TO SELL MORE T-SHIRTS! :D and of course, don't overwork yourself, stay healthy and get all ready for 21st december!

Felt different from my last project, but definitely a refreshing experience! Looking forward to the trip! : )

What first attracted me to join the expedition was that it encompasses both volunteering and working with children. Despite being uneasy at the prospect of meeting a lot of people and spending two weeks in a foreign place with people I am not close to, my fears have been allayed by the warmth I’ve felt from my team mates. I‘ve enjoyed everything so far and the flight hasn’t even taken off. I’m positive that we will not only make an impact on the lives of the children at Peaceful Home II but also on ours as well. I can’t wait!

This expedition is just like running a Marathon. You know your own limit, set your pace to complete the race. When you feel that it's impossible to complete race, your pacers/ your team mates will give words/ action of encouragement; (just like having a packet of energy gel) to recharge your energy and complete the race. Hope our team will take care and love one another; & have a safe ,smoothing learning trip.. Yeah, we can make it.. Nothing is impossible...
Selene
I hope this trip can be another fufilling trip for me as well as for you. Let's keep in touch even after the expedition is over. Actively involve or even lead one, if you enjoy the process.
